How to Get Started in Crafting

Power skilling is making many of the same items in a row just to raise your skill level.  

Select an item that is yellow or orange to you (when making it, not using it).  Yellow items you are more likely to succeed.  Sometimes you loose materials when you fail an orange.  

Make sure the item is as cost effective as possible (unless, of course, gold is no object!).  A good resource is Keltor's TradeSkill Worksheet  http://www.kwyk.net/keltor/tradeskill.html.  It will give you your cost to make an item, what a merchant will pay you for it, what you will get when you salvage it, and what the value of the salvage is.  It is a good resource for other facts as well.  

Gather the materials you will need in the proportions that you will use (include the salvage values in your calculations).  Don't buy so many supplies that you are overburdened.  

Begin crafting.
